Chloe Behrens's Interview

Chloe Behrens was born in Hudson Valley, and now dwells in the surrounding areas of Dallas, TX. Chloe Behrens is a well renowned author. She has published many fictional books. I just started my first book in her collection, and I highly indorse her books. I know she is not from Detroit, but I could not pass up the possibility to interview a great author. Here is the interview I did with Ms. Chloe Behrens:
How old were you when you first started to write?
I was four when I learned to read, and right after that, I started trying to duplicate the books I picked up.  Granted, they didn't make any sense at the time.  When I was ten, I began a series of short stories, and I think I would consider that the first real "writing" I ever did.
When did you know that you wanted to write your own stories?
When I was around ten, or so.
How would you describe your childhood?
I loved school, when I was a child, and anything that had to do with learning.  I played outside a lot, and my siblings and I favored our neighbor's backyard that had a forest of trees and grapevines, and the best treehouse.  It literally became our little "private world."  Very inspiring!!!
Where do you get your inspiration for your books?
I find inspiration in the most random things.  It could be from watching a complete stranger interact in public, and wondering what kind of life they've come from.  A spark of inspiration has often found me during travels, and visiting new places.  As long as your mind is free and open, inspiration can find you through anything!
What do you do to relax?
I spend free time with friends, or reading, or writing.
Do you celebrate after you finish a book? If so how do you celebrate.
When I finish a book, I definitely feel like a nice evening out is imperative.  The length of time I leave between projects is very short, so really just a nice dinner out somewhere really puts a close to one project, before I start another.
How did you feel when you wrote the last book in the Van Steenburgh series?
I felt - and still feel - sad when I think about ending the Van Steenburgh Series.  Those characters have been a part of my life for the longest time, and I wrote the first draft of "Hope is a Waking Dream" when I was fifteen.  Hope and Trent's story tugged at my heart as I wrote it, and I was really sad to see it all end, to be honest.
If you had to use two words to describe you, which two words would it be?
Silly and persistent.
Where is your favorite place to write?
In my living room, at the end of my favorite couch, by the window.  It's my own little private "hole" where most of my writing gets done!!!

What's your favorite book to read on your down time?
"Flowers in the Attic" by V.C. Andrews.
What your favorite place to visit? What about this place makes it your favorite?
Rhinebeck, New York.  I spent much of my childhood into my teenage years there, and the history of that area is so glamorous and rich!  I enjoy my yearly trip back there, and visiting all the historic sites that I loved and found so inspiring as a child, and it is so relaxing!
What advice would you give to someone looking to become an author?
The best advice I can give is to write, and keep writing.  Don't stop.  Keep your eyes and your heart open to inspiration and ideas.  Keep learning.  Keep reading.  Keep watching movies.  Keep creating.

Do you have any new projects your fans should be looking forward to?
I have been developing a story around a character named Olivia Cane, who is a young woman that is about to get married, and figures out that her fiancĂ© is not really right for her.  I'm also working on screenplays for my Capitani series, which I'm hoping to bring to the movie screen!  We shall see how that turns out!

It was a great pleasure and honor to interview Ms. Chloe Behrens. This was my first interview not just for my blog but in general. I highly recommend for everyone to read her books. I am falling in love with the one I am currently reading. Here is all her official social media:
