The Flower has Blossm

Orchid has a reputation as the club to be among the young and young at heart. And once you enter the door at Orchid you will not have any hesitation about why people congregate there. I have been there only once so far, but my friends have been there many times now, and I must say it's quite an occurrence. This has become Ferndale’s best new spot to party among college crowd and those who just love to party. Orchid is not a new club; it’s been around for a while. And for those of you searching for a party like no other club has offered, the Orchid is where you should be.
Nestled among the stores, showrooms, and bars, The Orchid is located at 141 West 9 Mile Rd. at Woodward in Ferndale, MI. The Orchid is only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm-2am.
The club is not easy to miss. The bright neon lights and the crowd of people outside lets you know you are at the right place. However, the interior will remind visitors of a Vegas party. The music keeps the people moving! The club plays all types of music even 90’s hip hop. The club also has dancer to help keep the party going, and to make sure everyone is having a great time. The decor allows the guest to be taken away by the music and the lights, though flashing lights and music isn’t the only thing bringing folks to The Orchid. The club buzz with excited energy and was comfortably full with seemingly satisfied patrons.
The Orchid offers free entry into the club on Fridays and Saturdays for everyone before 11pm. Yes, everyone 21+ can get into Orchid for free before 11pm. For all the people who like to have a few drinks while they party, Orchid have a special for you. All drinks are only $2 before 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. I couldn’t believe it the first time I heard it. I went to the club and everything I heard about the club was true. At the door everyone who came into the club before 11pm on Saturday received a Friday Free Pass. The Orchid offers booth/table reservations as well, which you can do by either calling or emailing the club. For booth/table reservations email at orchidbooths@gmail.com or call at 248-506-6586 and find them on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/orchidferndale
I would love to be self-centered, egotistic, and greedy by keeping The Orchid all to myself and among my closest friends, but this club is too good to stay mysterious for long. There’s no doubt to have a party at The Orchid will quickly become the hottest thing to do on a Friday or Saturday night.

Top Jewel in the Crown of Chinese Food

Shangri-La can be called the crown jewel of authentic Chinese food in Midtown Detroit. And I don't doubt that for a bit. I have been dining in this best-kept secret for a year now, and I must say it's quite an experience. It’s a food revolution for many who enter their doors. There is not a restaurant in the Midtown area that could give people especially college students the milieu and food experience with sensible pricing.   And for those of you searching for a culinary experience like no other in the theme of Chinese cuisine, look no further than Shangri-La.

Shangri-La is located 4710 Cass Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48201. It’s sheltered amid the historical buildings and Wayne State University’s campus, Shangri-La is the creation of Cholada Chan.  Genuine Cantonese cuisine is what they’re bringing to the Midtown area.

The restaurant is located in a rather unassuming location that’s quite easy to miss. However, the interior will remind visitors of a modern, Hipster meets true, original Chinese restaurant. The decor allows the simplistic beauty of the food to really shine, though beauty isn’t the only thing bringing patrons to Shangri-La. Shangri-La have a fully stocked bar. The bar is located at the heart of the restaurant; with its blue lights accent underneath the bar is wonderful to see at night. The restaurant buzzed with excited energy and was happily full with outwardly satisfied patrons.

Though I would love to be selfish and keep Shangri-La all to myself, the restaurant standing among the masses is already at the top of the charts, but it’s too good to stay hidden for long from people looking for authentic Chinese food in the “Motor City”. There’s no doubt a table Shangri-La has quickly became the hottest reservation in town.
