Hello Everyone!!
I am back with another movie review. This time it is for the movie That Awkward Moment starring Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan, and Miles Teller. This movie was funny, and I can not remember a moment in the movie when I was not laughing. I went to see this movie with a guy friend of mines, and let's say that everything they did in that movie represents a normal "bromance" while at least that's what I was told. The movie is about 3 friends who have fun and party. Zac Efron and Miles Teller 's characters work to design book covers and Michael B. Jordan's character is a doctor and the only married one in the group.
The movie shows about a 9 month time frame in the guys lives. Zac Efron was the player of the group, Miles Teller was the goofy(they called him the dumb one) of the group while Michael B. Jordan was the serious one. The movie shows how they each interact with women and how they deal with their relationships with women.
The end of the movie was very "Disney" in my opinion. As in, the guy mess up loses the girl, the girl moves on but still the loves the guy, guy realize he was wrong and goes after the girl and they live happy ever after. Don't take it as I did not enjoy the movie because I did. It really help me to see my own male friends a little differently. I know I haven't said this in a while ,but it was a good movie, yet don't take my word for it go see it for yourself and when you realize how good it is then you know I did not lie to you.
Not your ordinary blog, yet it is a flow of words that will lead you on an experience like no other.

Personal rant
I just had to write these feelings out. It's a personal rant that I am posting just to show someone out there that is going through something like this that you are not alone.
I started this out not knowing what to say. This thought has been really have on my heart as of the past few months. I feel like this is a safe place for me to express these thoughts and emotions. I been in love with a man for 10 years of my life, but I always been the best friend. For 10 years, I just played my role as my heart bleed. Don't get it wrong, I had relationships, but my heart always wanted him. I tried and tried so many times to get over him and "let it go", but there was always something not allowing me to let go. Now I see that the writing is on the wall and he has a girlfriend, but that force will not let go. I miss my best friend, but this foolish pride will not allow me to reach out to him. I guess I don't want to seem like a pest or something. I guess I just got to get use to not talking to him, and it's going to be hard since I known him since I was 14.

Needy Man
I'm sorry you guys! I know it's been a long time since I last post something for you guys, but school just started back and I was busy with that. Here is a little rant about what's been happening to me lately with accordance to guys.
Is it me, or are guys now a days supper needy? When I say guys I am not talking about all men, so fellas relax. I notice that a lot of guys are super needy. When I say needy I mean they always asking "so when am I going to see you?" or my favorite (sike) "when we gone to chill". That is a major turn off to me when guys say this. To me personally, if you want to talk, chill, hang out, or date me you can not ask me this. In my opinion you should make a move to spend time with me. If I am talking to you, you would know my schedule and what time I have free, so try to set something up during that time. You the man, don't make me set up all the dates and meetings.

What to do with a "pushy" lover?
Hello Everyone!
I normally do not like to talk about personal business online rather it's mine or someone else. This post was a request from a friend of mine that wanted all of you to help him with a problem. This is his problem: He is in a strictly sexual relationship with someone, who is more than half his age, older than him. They known each other for a while and been "together" for 6 months. She refuse to accept that they are just "sex buddies" after he had repeatedly told her that he did not have romantic feelings for her and that it was "just sex" for him. She has even confess that she loves him. He told her that he do not feel the same for her, but she not having it, and keeps on referring to him as her boyfriend after he have told her he is not her boyfriend. He have stop her from cooking for him and going out or anything that can be seen as a date. Because of the large age gap many of you may be saying to yourself.."He doing it for the money" which I can tell you that is not the case. He has a job and a college degree, and has always taking care of his own business.
I told him that he should just leave her alone. If they are not on the same page then it is time to cut the cord. Now, he wants to hear from you my lovely readers. Should he cut ties with her or should he get into a relationship that he is being forced into just to be nice to her? Leave your advice in the comments below.

Un-Deathly Love
I am a hopeless romantic. Some one once asked me what kind of relationship am I looking for. I did not know how to describe in words my "perfect" relationship. Then it hit me, I only said "I want to be in love like Morticia and Gomez Addams". They looked at me with confusion in their eyes. It's true, I want my relationship to be like their relationship. No matter if it looks wrong to others it feels right to us.
The love that the Addams family couple has for each other is the most pure you will ever see in Hollywood. They may not be a real couple, but they are the go to for all standards of relationships and marriages. I love how after so many years they still love and lust after each other like it's the first time seeing each other.
I could go on and on about this couple, but I know I will at a later date, yet until then my friends go and watch the movies and youtube the television show. I see you later darlings.

Role Model Couple #4 Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
It's time for couple number #4!!!! I know it may comes to a shock to some of my new readers, but I am a support of Gay Rights. I have express my thoughts on the topic in an earlier post. I feel that Neil Patrick Harris and his Husband David Burtka are a great role model couple not just for the LGBT community but for everyone no matter what. They may be different than the other couples on my list, but they are the same as them too. They are the traditional family that we grew up seeing on TV and in movies the only difference is its two daddies.
Neil Patrick Harris is an American actor, producer, singer,
and director. He is best known for the title role in Doogie Howser, M.D., the
womanizing Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother, a fictionalized version of
himself in the Harold & Kumar series, and the title role in Joss Whedon's
musical web series Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
Harris was named as one of Time magazine's 100 most
influential people in 2010, and was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of
Fame in September 2011. Harris has also hosted the Tony Awards on Broadway in
2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Harris confirmed that he is gay in November 2006 by saying,
"I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love."
Harris attended the Emmy awards in 2007 with his
fiance David Burtka, later confirming the relationship, which he said began in
2004, in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
On August 14, 2010, Harris
announced that he and Burtka were expecting twins via a surrogate mother. The twins Gideon Scott, a boy, and Harper Grace, a girl, were born in
2010.
Following the passage of the Marriage Equality Act in New
York on June 24, 2011, Harris and Burtka announced their engagement via
Twitter, stating that they had proposed to each other five years earlier but
kept the engagement secret until same-sex marriage became legal.

Role Model Couple #2 President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama
The second couple on my list of role model couples is the first family. President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. This is a couple that holds not just their family together, but the whole country. Talk about pressure!! Ladies, imagine having your husband be the leader of the free world, the most powerful man in the world. The wonderful thing about this couple is the fact they do not let the fact that they are the president and first lady go to their head. They are down to earth, and they are not afraid to speak of their past or where they came from. During their first term in the White House, they both have came out and said they struggle with student loan debt until they join the White House. To me as a college student that means a lot to me to know that my president understands the struggles of daily life of students trying to better their future through education.
President Obama makes to point in hiding the love and respect he has for his wife and our first lady. There have many times the microphone picked up him making jokes about his wife or that he is "afraid of her" with loving joking undertones. They show young people how to handle a relationship with class and grace. I know a lot people may not agree with what I am about to say, but it's my opinion, but they are the black or African American people image of a true, loving, and positive relationship and couple. Some may say they are the black camlot.
I could go on and on about this couple, but why flood you with my opinion? Tell me in the comments how you feel about the First couple/family.

Respect=Love
Ms. Tina Webster's post title Another love really got me to thinking, looking around me at my surroundings, and thinking some more. Here's the link to her blog post so you can read it as well.
http://myteencity.blogspot.com/2013/11/another-love.html
After reading Ms. Webster's post, I really start to think about what I REALLY want in a man rather than what I was taught I needed FROM a man. I never really sat down and thought about it. Today, I sat down in my room with a pen and notebook. I sat there and just image what kind of life I wanted then what kind of family I wanted for myself. I start to write down all the qualities I liked for in my future mate. The first thing I wrote down wasn't humbleness(which was the second one on my list), height, and not even money making abilities. The first thing I wrote down was respect. I didn't even pay it any attention until I was done with my list. I thought about the word Respect.
I start to look around me and I see so many young women around me being disrespected. I see how so many women being treated like dogs just because they carry their self to a higher standard than the norm require of them. I see it everyday men holding doors for the "pretty" girls and slamming doors on girls that look "average". I had guys let doors hit me without a second thought. I realize I want a man that respect me. Respect me as a woman, lover, friend, and most of all as a human being.
I say this to all my young women out there. You are more than your thighs. You are more than your breast. You are more than the clothes you wear. You should show people how to respect you by showing yourself respect. A diamond is made miles underneath the ground. It takes a man days, months, and even years to reach a point of being able to see the diamond before they can dig it out. Let a man work to see you in your glory. One day he be able to say he worked hard for his diamond.
Fellas, treat ALL women with respect. She is someone's grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, and daughter. Act how you would want someone to treat your mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and even your cousin. If you see or hear one of your friends mistreating or disrespecting women, Speak up. One act of standing up, can change a life time of behaviors.
What do you think? What is your top 5 qualities you want your mate to have or must have?

Role Model Couples #1 Gomez&Morticia (ADDAMS FAMILY)
" Their house is a museum Where people come to see 'em They really are a scream The Addams Family."
I know Halloween is over, but this couple is more famous on Halloween than any other. This is favorite couple of all times, even thou they are a fictional couple. This couple showed me and people like me that true love never dies. They were different then the normal standards of what a couple do or say, but hey they loved each other and at the end of every show that point was shown. Morticia will always be tending to her "deathly" garden, yet Gomez will be playing so wild game of chess with Thing or playing golf. No matter what Gomez could not keep his hands of Morticia. Not because she was wearing the latest fashion, or her make up was on point, and not because she had a "banging" body. It was because she was his, and because she said something in French. When ever she said something in French he go mad with passion.
They actually showed me and my generation that when you truly love someone with all your heart and from the bottom of your soul that love will never die. Also, no matter how hard you try to fight it, you can never over come it. They show tolerance for each other and everyone no matter what or where the person may be. They didn't care if they were rich or poor(which is a topic in one of the Addams family movie). Long as they had each other they would make it. Morticia was a true ride or die chick. Ladies, let's be real. I don't know many that would put up with my husband swing from vines in the house and shooting his self out of a cannon on the daily bases.
Like a true couple they complete each other. Gomez was the carefree and wild one, while Morticia was the senseable one and was the calm when everything would go crazy. I tell me your memories of this spooky couple. I can go on and on about this couple Gomez and Morticia, but why spoil it for you..go check them out and see why.."They're creepy and they're kooky,Mysterious and spooky,They're all together ooky,"

First Love
What is love? Love can be anything some will say. Others may say its anything good in your life. I notice the one sure answer to that question is there is no sure answer. I know the answer for me. To love for me, is to love unconditionally. That's what I do. I love unconditionally. I have a story of that.
Its my freshman year of high school. I was not popular but I had my friends and classmates I was cool with. I met this guy through one of my best friends. They went to middle school together. He had the biggest crush on my my best friend, and I had the biggest crush on him. Due to that, I never told a soul. My best friend knew with out me saying a word, and she tell me all the time to go for it, but I never did. As the years went on the guy became my best friend. We was your topical best friends, well at least to me. One day senior year he told me he had a girlfriend. I had a boyfriend, but I was so hurt that he had a girlfriend that I didn't talk to him for 2 months. How I did that when we went to the same high school, I do not know, but I did it. I start to text his girlfriend from his phone a few times and one day he let me talk to her on the phone. I never forget that moment as long as I live. I told her that I loved him and few other things. I SAID THIS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY WITH OUR CLASSMATES LISTENING ALONG WITH HIM. I couldn't believe I said that. I been friends with him for many years now, and I still love him. Even thou we never dated or be came a couple, I still love him as a wife loves her husband. I finally told him one day over the phone and he said he never knew I felt that way(I don't buy that at all). We still friends and my love still grows. What can I say? I'm the type of person once I love you that's it unless you betray me unlike no other. We both date and meet new people, like we should since we both single, but I just cant stop loving him. I play my role as best friend never letting the two cross, but no matter what I do I can stop the love. Who knows what the future holds, he may love back, he maybe my soulmate, or one day I just stop loving him. Who knows but after 10 years of loving someone I don't think it happen over night. Tell me, who was your first love and do you still love him/her?

LGBT FRATERNITITES
I saw something on Tumblr today that really had me thinking. It was a post about having more Christian and LGBT fraternities on college campuses. As a college students, I see Christian fraternities a lot, but my question is this How will the rest of the fraternities on campus feel about having openly express and showing LGBT fraternities on their "yard"? I am not dumb to the fact that there are some LGBT fraternities out here and you may be walking by a member of one with out knowing it.
The reason I post this question is this: We all know how much hate is shown towards the LGBT community. Now with fraternities out in the open, where they should be because no one should have to hide or a group should not have to hide, wouldn't that cause more hate crimes on College campuses? Like I said in my previous posts about this topic, I do not care who you love just as long as they are respecting you and giving you the same love back as you giving to them. I think that there are still a lot of work that needs to be done against the bad stigma of the LGBT community before we can go to next step as in fraternities. I have many gay and lesbian friends and I do not want them to be shun or hurt because they joined a LGBT fraternities. TO BE FRANK... we need more work as a whole. More understanding and peace between us as humans before we can truly say we have made a difference in this world. I think it be a good idea to have the LGBT fraternities bond and build a friendship with the Black fraternities since at one point they were kept off college campus and had to fight from their own piece of the pie. what do you think?

Are Ladies the new "MAN" now?
Everyone who knows me know that I am a very simple girl. The most simple things can bring a smile to my face and joy in my heart. With that being said, its also known that I dream big and go for those said dreams. I work hard to make my dreams come true, and help as many people as I can along the way. Due to this "go getta" attitude I have, a love life is hard to have.
I notice every guy I date complain that I don't have time for them. This is funny to me because I tell them all at the beginning all the things I do and want to achieve in life. Now, they are acting like little babies. Don't get it wrong, I love that a guy wants to be with me, but when it gets to the point it seems like you just free all the time because you always call or texting me. That's a big problem. I remembered a time when girls use to have to beg for a guy to spend time with them, now it's the other way around.
I don't know what it is. It seems like guys in my generation(i mean most guys not all) have no dreams, goals, and future plans. Once they come around a woman with goals, she is doing everything she can to make those dreams come true... all of a sudden she "stuck up" or "playing games" what's up with that? Don't you guys want that in a woman? I'm just saying. A woman that's strong enough to stand on her own beside you, strong enough to "pick up the tab" some times, and woman that can be your lover, friend, and most of all your support system. Now, when I say support system, I mean someone who helps you up when life kicks you down, some one who keeps you on the track to YOUR dream and not the dream you think that would impress her, and someone to just keep you motives you to go father than your current normal.
I just don't get it. I'm not saying that guys don't have the same issues with us ladies because they do. I'm speaking from what I see. Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to hear from you. Leave your comments and thoughts on this topic. Fellas tell me what you are looking for in a partner and same thing goes to you too ladies.
